Behind
Lumeia
Photography became part of my life in 2018 and has never left. Before that, my focus was in fine arts — form, composition, and the way light falls across objects. That is the perspective I brought with me.
I care little for the perfect pose. I care about the hand reaching for another hand, the gesture repeated when no one is watching, the spontaneous laughter that breaks out two seconds after someone says they don't know how to act in front of a camera.
I almost exclusively work with natural light, slowly, allowing people time to forget I am there. I guide gently when helpful, and step back when the moment calls for pure spontaneity.
Lisbon is my home base. But if your story unfolds elsewhere, I travel gladly — across Portugal and around the world.
You don't need to know how to pose.
It's what I hear most often before a session. Nobody knows — and that's not what makes a meaningful photograph. My role is to create the relaxed space for you to feel entirely at ease, taking care of everything else.
